La Mendola was established by two American designers who opened their atelier and boutique near the Spanish Steps in Rome. The label attracted a glamorous clientele, including icons such as Elizabeth Taylor and Rita Hayworth.

The piece introduced here retains the theatrical exaggeration of its costume origins, while remaining just wearable enough to be incorporated into everyday layering. Sheer black tulle is layered throughout, creating a cape-like silhouette that captures air and moves fluidly with the body. Roughly cut hems add an intentionally raw, moody finish.

60年代ローマ発のブランド、La mendolaから、魔女のコスチュームをご紹介いたします。

アメリカ人デザイナー二人が、ローマはスペイン階段の付近に店を構えたla mendola. エリザベス・テイラーやリタ・ヘイワースといった華やかなセレブリティたちが顧客として名を連ねていました。

今回ご紹介するアイテムは、コスチューム由来ならではの誇張が、そのまま日常のレイヤーにギリギリ落とし込める一着です。透け感のあるブラックチュールを幾重にも重ね、動くたびに空気を含んで揺れるケープライクなシルエット。ラフに切り落としたようなヘムがムードを足します。貴方もこれを着て魔法使いに。
